If water is running where it should not, close the fixture stop or the main. The main is usually where the line enters the house, or at the meter. Then shut a gas heater to pilot, or flip the breaker on an electric heater, so it does not fire dry. Do not keep using fixtures if sewage is coming up. We will walk you through that on the phone. A slow drain that can wait until morning is drain cleaning, not an emergency.
